Good Children Say Grace is built in Unreal Engine 5.7 with MetaHumans, and we are applying for an Epic MegaGrant to support both the continued development of the game and a second research track: bringing psychological horror with branching narrative mechanics to UEFN.
Horror on UEFN is jumpscare hallways and zombie waves. Nobody has tried putting a real story in there. We want to be the ones who do, and we want to document how branching mechanics and high-fidelity storytelling translate to the platform.
The studio is built around a central IP that moves across media. The game on Steam is the first expression. UEFN islands may be next.
